Check out the letter from the CEO explaining the exciting new adaptive playground and how you can help be a part of its creation.
Letter from the CEO
Almost without warning the kids at the Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children started looking a whole lot younger to me. At first I wrote it off as just another example of that nagging feeling we all inevitably experience. The one where time has a way of just slipping away, faster and faster with every passing year
But the numbers don’t lie. The kids here are getting younger. At Pappas we are welcoming more 8, 9, & 10 year-olds than ever before
To keep up with the curve, we have made many changes in our approach to rehabilitation. Some of them are big and some of them are small. But regardless of their dimensions each and every one of them met at the crossroad of our common and very uncluttered goal: to help each child here lead a richer and more fulfilling life.
And so we decided we needed to build an adaptive playground right in the heart of our campus. We know the cost will be formidable and well beyond what we can ever hope to shake loose from our always over-stretched operating budget.
Your donations can now go towards the construction of our playground. There, the laughter and smiles of these young children will grow exponentially with each glide through the air, flight down the slide, and frantic spin on the carousel.
Sincerely,
Brian V Devin
CEO
