Happiest Place on Earth: Day 4 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Lets catch up with Lars and the students and staff of Massachusetts Hospital School as he blogs about day 4 at Disney Hollywood Studios, Florida. He writes…
We are back in Hollywood Studios and our first stop was Tower of Terror. The build up to this ride was probably more scary than the ride itself but it’s a cool feeling to be lifted out of your seat. We cooled down with the Beauty and the Beast show. Rocking Rollercoaster, one of Disney’s most exhilarating riding experiences, was next on our list. The children really love this ride though a few of them including some staff chicken out.
As we came out of the ride and walking (wheeling) to our next attraction I came to think how I admire anyone in a wheelchair who has to maneuver themselves around crowds. It’s not easy when you are sitting down and therefore looking up at people walking and who are not looking down and paying attention. Disney does do a great job with wheelchair accessibility but in real life that isn’t the case.
We did some more rides before taking the bus over to Disney Springs, the market place, where the children shopped. Unfortunately the hot air balloon ride that some of them wanted to do was grounded due to high winds. Back at the hotel we had pizza and enjoyed some of the activities on the boardwalk.
This was and early night since tomorrow wake up was 6 am and our final park, Animal Kingdom.“
